Virtual Ergonomic Evaluation

You deserve a comfortable, safe place to work.

Computer use has become a big part of daily life for most of us.

Technology is engrained in our lives more than ever before. We use computers, laptops, tablets, and cell phones for work, personal life, and school.

But our bodies are paying the price.

But using these devices can cause wear and tear on our bodies. The tasks we do day after day like sitting, standing, typing, and looking at screens adds up over time. This repetitive stress can cause damage that lead to aches, pains, or even injuries.

Ergonomics can help you avoid these kinds of problems.

The good news is that we can minimize the impact these activities have on our bodies by using ergonomics. With proper support, the right equipment, and healthy work habits, you can feel you best and protect your health in the future.

An ergonomic evaluation will give you the tools you need.

It can be overwhelming to find out how to set up your workstation on your own. How do you know what adjustments to make to your chair, what furniture to buy, or whether or not you need different equipment?

Ergonomics is what we do. We can help.

Ergonomic Evaluations

Having an evaluation with a professional ergonomic consultant is the fastest way to create a safe, comfortable place to work.

Here are some great reasons to get an evaluation.

  • Do you work with a computer more than 2 hours per day?

  • Are you uncomfortable when you work?

  • Do you want to prevent problems in the future?

  • Have you invested in new furniture or equipment but didn’t get the results you expected?

  • Are you planning to buy a new chair or desk?

Work with a professional ergonomic consultant

wherever you live or work.

We hate it when people spend money on the wrong thing.

Ergonomics is not about spending money on an expensive chair or gadget. It’s about finding ways to support you in the best position as you work.

First, we will help you adjust and position what you have.

The first thing we are going to do is optimize the fit of your existing furniture and equipment. We will make sure your chair is adjusted to best support you, and that your screens, keyboard, and mouse are in the most ideal position.

Buy something new only if it’s really needed.

Then, if we see something that really needs to change, we are going to show you why, what kind of solution you need, and then give you some specific product recommendations.

Get recommendations within your budget.

There are solutions for every budget. When we make recommendations for furniture, we include budget, mid-range, and high-end options. So no matter what you are looking for, you get the solution you need.

How Does The Evaluation Work?

You will have a one-on-one session with one of our ergonomic evaluators through a video meeting. Here is a brief outline of what we will cover during the appointment.

Step 1: Getting to Know You

First, we want to get to know you and find out what your main concerns and questions are. We want to know how you usually feel, if you have any discomfort or pain, or have any injuries or conditions that affect you.

Then, we want to find out what is involved in your work. What is a typical work day or week for you? What equipment do you use? Do you work in more than one place?

Step 2: The Assessment

Next, we will start the review of your furniture and equipment. Click the arrow to see more.

  • We will review all of the adjustability your chair has, make sure you know what all those levers on your chair do, and show you where you should position them. We will first look at how well the chair is supporting you, and let you know if we think you need a different chair. If you do, we will talk about what to look for, what to avoid, and give you some recommendations.

  • Next, we make sure your desk is a good size, shape, and height for you.

  • If you use a standing workstation, we will teach you the ideal desk height, how often you should stand, and whether or not you need an anti-fatigue mat.

  • Then, we will talk about the size, shape, and position of your keyboard and mouse, as well as any wrist rests you use.

  • We will make recommendations for positioning the arrangement, height, and distance of your screens.

  • We will review any other materials or equipment you use such as cell phones, paperwork, cameras, etc.

Step 3: Review Recommendations/Wrap Up

As we go through each step in the evaluation, we will talk about whether or not we recommend different furniture or equipment. We will teach you what to look for and give you specific examples. These recommendations will be part of the report summary you get after the evaluation. Before the evaluation is over, we want to make sure you have all your questions answered.

Step 4: Get final report.

You will receive a written summary of the evaluation a few days after we meet. It will include a reminder about general tips, changes that were made, and any recommendations for furniture or equipment.
